FUNCTIONAL ANEMIA

If our human body relies on the fuel, food and nutrients, and restorative sleep, to repair day to day damage, restore balance, and replenish the depleted stores of supplies to our bodies, then it follows that a lack of continued replacement of the nutrients will perpetuate a lack of repair and a system at a deficit, out of balance. This "Functional Anemia" is a perpetual state of lacking of nutrition, a deficiency of balanced fuel types, healthy fats, protein and complex carbohydrates, an absence of access to cofactors and catalysts to effectively and efficiently power our restorative and reparative machinery. These people remain and slip further out of balance. Like credit card spending out of control, it is a matter of time until the collection agency start to call for payment.

Many people lack the necessary resources for comprehensive repairs and maintenance of their machinery. Resources are triages to what the body deems the most important for survival, while other systems suffer and wait for more resources to be delivered. Damage occurs. Repair is deferred. As time goes on the balance of damage and repair continues out of balance and we age. If nothing changes we age quickly and irreparable damage can ensue. One only needs to look at a methamphetamine user to see the ravages of unchecked damage and repair. Poor nutrition coupled with putting toxic materials in the body, fuels accelerated aging and dysfunction.

We don’t need to know the effects of single agents on health, because this is not the way that nature works. Nutrition has a wholistic effect on health; one that we consistently miss and misinterpret when we focus on isolated nutrients.
